Lactate test at home
Lactic acid, lactate - dear child, has many names. You have probably felt it when you have run, played floorball or cycled fast. The muscles "wear out" and even though the brain and your will say "continue", the muscles no longer obey. Your muscles now have an elevated level of lactic acid and your legs or arms have a will of their own. Lactic acid, or lactate, which is the medically correct term, is a waste product that is produced when your muscles work harder than your lungs can oxygenate them. Many people who exercise and have an interest in wellness would like to measure their levels of lactic acid, now it is possible with the Quicktest X6 multifunctional meter, which can, among other things, test your levels of lactic acid. The measurement is done through a simple blood test, then the Quicktest X6 analyzes your levels and you get the answer in just a few seconds. Of course, your results are stored so you can follow your progress.
The package contains lactic acid/lactate strips, lactic acid code chip, manual and lancets.
Please note that you need Multitest X6 for using these test strips.
So how does it work?
Simple; By quickly pricking your finger, a drop of blood is used, then the Quicktest X6 is used, which is the measuring instrument itself, the blood is sucked into a test strip and then the analysis begins. The answer is read immediately. Click on the "Instructional video" button above and you can watch a video of how easy it is to use the Quicktest X6.
What is the code chip used for?
On 2 occasions: 1. Before testing, it is simply to "explain" to the X6 multitester that it should measure lactic acid, you only do this once if you are only testing ketosis. 2. If you would like to test another parameter such as cholesterol, this test's unique code chip should be used first, this way the X6 receives information that you are testing another parameter. The code chip can be reused.
